Why is Industrial safety the critical problem?

Industrial safety depends on human performance. ISO (and other regulators) requires that all risk ranked activities must we documented in Procedures, Standards or other enabling documents. This is a regulatory requirement. Currently these documents are produced by highly trained technical writers or the like, who are masters in writing and design.

The problem is that these professionals lack the competence to human factor engineer user documents that are purposed to drive human behavior. Therefore UXQCC partners train and certify specialists to acquire these competences, and to impart them. The UXQCC also certifies user document (for example risk ranked procedures) that comply with a professionally developed catalogue of cognitive and behavioral criteria.

The learning objectives include

What does the UXQCC Person Certification guarantee?
The foundation level certification guarantees that people have fully experienced all basic criteria that drive users’ behaviors and comprehension patterns of risk ranked documents. These experiences impart the skills required to UX engineer user document. To acquire the FL certificate, candidates are required to:

• attend a 2 day foundation level course
• participate in all course exercises and
• pass a closing exam.

Building upon the FL certificate, people are admitted to attend a respective 4 day Master Class (MC). A successful completion of a MC guarantees that the certified person has learned how to UX engineer usability mapped documents.
